Bee Kind
Whilst walking the dog around our usual loop near our house yesterday we spotted lovely act of kindness. Someone had hand cross stitched a sign ‘Bee Kind’, attaching it to a nearby bridge. It made me smile and stop for long enough to get my phone out and take a photo. It is a simple act by someone I don’t know, but it certainly brightened my day, and I’m sure the day of many others.

Witnessing acts of kindness produces oxytocin, the ‘love hormone’ which aids in improving overall heart health, along with increasing levels of self-esteem and optimism. It really can boost the health and wellbeing of others; whilst hopefully making the world a slightly better place.
What Goes Around, Comes Around
During this difficult time, many people are vulnerable. Covid-19 has affected just about everyone globally and people from all walks of life are feeling its effects. Simple gestures can go a very long way. Not only does being kind make others feel better it also helps you grow as a person. Being kind can be rewarding and give you a more positive outlook on life, in return making you happier. Research has shown that kind and compassionate people are more satisfied with their lives, have better physical and metal health and form stronger relationships. I was told as a child ‘what goes around, comes around’ and this is true of kindness – it has a way of coming back to you.
“What you do makes a difference, and you have to decide what kind of difference you want to make.”
Jane Goodall
