Art Gallery of NSW
As an art enthusiast I was very excited to receive an email from the Art Gallery of NSW offering the opportunity to take a 360 degree immersive virtual tour of the Archibald, Wynne and Sulman prize finalists works, in situ from the comfort of my own home.
Prestigious Prizes
The Archibald Prize was the first major portraiture prize in Australia. It was first awarded in 1921, so this year marked a century of the most prestigious portrait prize in Australia. The Wynne Prize for landscape and Sulman Prize for best subject, genre or mural project, now run as sister shows in conjunction with the Archibald in March each year. Though the Sulman is not quite as long running, beginning in 1936.
Experience here
Unfortunately due to current circumstances the gallery has had to close its doors temporarily, but you can still be inspired and get creative at home and online by clicking here. Enjoy!
